Job Description

Fleet and Manufacturing Support is seeking a motivated engineer to join our team.  The successful candidate will work in a dynamic 3-person team that addresses challenging fleet or manufacturing issues related to steam generators.  The position will primarily be responsible for coordinating and addressing thermal hydraulic or structural concerns.  In addition, this position provides opportunities to expand skills in steam plant materials.  This role provides the opportunity to interface with diverse groups across the lab including fleet power plant projects, BPMI, steam plant chemistry, and others.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience; or  Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; or qualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Currently or previously CRE qualified; or 6 years as SRE; or SRE qualified and 9 years of experience.

Preferred Skills

•  Experience with the US Nuclear Navy or Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program Contractors
•  Experience addressing Naval Nuclear Program fleet issues
•  Thermal-Hydraulic analysis, structural analysis, or propulsion plant systems experience
•  Self-motivation with a desire to take initiative to solve fleet problems

Pay Range $103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guide line only.
