Position Overview:

We are looking for an AR Specialist to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage customer accounts efficiently. This role will be pivotal in maintaining cash flow and supporting overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and post customer payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.

• Manage accounts receivable ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of entries.

• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.

• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Generate and distribute invoices, statements, and payment reminders.

• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address billing inquiries.

• Assist in month-end closing processes by preparing AR-related reports.

• Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a retail or consumer goods industry.

• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with QuickBooks or SAP preferred).

• Strong knowledge of AR processes and best practices.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
