Novo Nordisk MSAT: Internship in West Lebanon, New Hampshire

The Position

To provide a student studying a STEM field marketable experience related to the functions of a science and analytical technology team within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Performs a variety of business-specific duties in support of the MSAT department. Tasks include but not limited to drug substance manufacturing process support/troubleshooting, change management, validation, laboratory work and process improvement projects.

The Early Talent Program will require on-site work at our West Lebanon, NH facility.

Program Start: May 27, 2025.

Program End: August 15, 2025.

Onsite required; Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m

Relationships

Reports to the Lead Scientist. Directly supports a business or a function. Contacts are primarily within immediate work unit but may include internal departments, visitors and customers. Build relationships with other participants in the Summer Early Talent Internship Program.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the MSAT Department by increasing visibility and robustness of internal systems

  • Supports validation and process parameter studies and development of process data visualization toolss

  • Supports laboratory studies in cell culture, purification, or analytical functional areas including but not limited to upstream protein expression and metabolics analysis, downstream protein purification and sample analysis via HPLC/MS/Raman/ELISA/etc

  • Manages multiple priorities in complex environment assigned by Lead Scientist or team members

  • Works on basic departmental projects and updates stakeholders according to plan

  • Demonstrates competency in written and oral communications

  • Utilizes software and/or systems (such as MS Office, JMP, etc.) specific to the functional area to gather and generate basic reports, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations

  • Performs all job duties, and responsibilites in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes

  • Incorporate the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others

  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

  • Must be currently attending an accredited four-year college or university pursing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a related STEM major

  • Strong academic record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Experience Level: 0-1 years of relevant experience required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, must be able to multi-task

  • Strong interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate with teams; must effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers

  • Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
