The employer has an additional worksite location located at 2785 W 9000 S Suite 115, West Jordan, Utah 84088 14 Landscape Laborers needed for temporary, full-time employment from 3/1/25 through 11/30/25. Work will be performed at various worksites in Salt Lake and Utah counties. Job Duties: Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Lay sod, mow, trim/edge, plant, weeding, watering, rake, blow leaves; use a hand shovel to dig holes(up to 24 inches depth and 36 inches in width) for installing plants, trees, shrubs, or irrigation systems; spread seed, fertilizer and mulch; works on the ground to prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using shears, pruners, or chain saws; core aerating; sprinkler installation/repair, installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Winterizing plants and trees to protect from freezes with winter maintenance of yards with drainage control; annual winter color installs; property wide mulch installation, application and fertilization to protect plants, and winterization and draining of sprinkler system. Remove accumulated deposits of snow on an ongoing basis in extreme weather conditions using snow blowers and standard commercial snow shovels from private driveways, pathways and parking lots. Ice remediation and salt application manually. Loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning. May drive truck or other vehicle to transport work crew, plants, materials and tools to/from or at worksites. No minimum education or experience required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Workers are subject to post-injury/incident drug testing, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, including Saturdays and holidays as required. Valid Utah driver's license preferred but not required. Applicant must complete an employment application. Required uniform provided at no charge to the worker. The employer will offer a minimum of 35 hours of work per week. Normal schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:30pm. Shift includes 30 minutes unpaid break time. Work on Saturdays may be required as necessary. Workdays, hours, and shift time may vary depending on weather conditions. Basic rate of pay $20.26 per hour. Employer may increase wage based on experience, market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. Increased wage possible with a valid Utah driver's license. Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $30.39 per hour. Workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. Optional employee shared housing, including basic utilities, is available at approximately $150 per person per week. The cost of housing will be deducted from the worker's paycheck if the worker elects. Daily transportation between housing and the main worksite may be provided by the employer, but is not guaranteed. The main worksite is accessible by public bus and light rail train via the Utah Transit Authority. The employer will provide daily transportation from the main worksite in West Jordan to and from the worksite locations in Salt Lake and Utah counties. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will pr vide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59 per day with receipts. If necessary, employer will reimburse worker within first pay period for approved cost of meals and lodging at the applicable exchange rate, not to exceed reasonable costs. Receipts must be submitted. The employer will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). The employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
