REPORTING TO: Glass Shop Supervisor

LOCATION: West Henrietta, NY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Coring

• Performance of optical fabricating

• Sawing

• Curve generation

• Mill centering

• Hand Beveling

• Blocking

• Hand Grinding

• Polishing

• Comply with the Clean Room Protocol when entering a clean room environment.

• This job position requires compliance with ITAR Regulations. Therefore, all employees working in this capacity must meet citizenship status. Per the CVI Melles Griot Export Controls Policy and Procedure, the employee must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident .

• Comply with health and safety policies and procedures

• Support company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Layout and schedule of working for generation, blocking and grinding areas.

• Maintain cleanliness of machines, tools, equipment and general work area.

• Other duties and responsibilities, as may be required.

• Comply with wearing appropriate garments for department

• Comply with the Clean Room Protocol when entering a clean room environment.

CROSS TRAINED IN THESE DUTIES (Back up required by ISO Certification):

• Quality assurance to acquire inspection skills (Frequency: 2 times/month)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION/TRAINING/WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• At least two years of related experience and/or training

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• A high degree of accuracy and/or alertness required for using micrometers, sensitive interferometers, and attention to high speed cutting wheels.

• Ability to work with Baan and Bar-Coding software.

• Familiarity with special terminology as related to the manufacture of optical lens and related products.

• The ability to work with the noise from the hand cutting machine as well as other machines, and general manufacturing noise.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $45,400.00 - $68,200.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
