As a Housekeeping Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and ensuring a secure environment for all residents, visitors, and staff members alike.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English to ensure effective communication with residents and colleagues.

  • Preferred: Three months of experience in institutional housekeeping operations, demonstrating familiarity with cleaning agents, laundry procedures, and equipment handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thorough cleaning and sanitization of bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and fixtures.

  • Dusting of all surfaces without disturbance to personal belongings.

  • Comprehensive cleaning of kitchen areas, encompassing sinks, countertops, stoves, and refrigerator tops.

  • Effective vacuuming, ensuring cleanliness under furniture and in corners.

  • Responsible handling of both clean and soiled linens as per established protocols.

  • Assistance with various departmental tasks as directed by the Environmental Services Director or Housekeeping Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs (linen cart) and 30 lbs (linens), and to push/pull housekeeping and linen carts.

  • Ability to bend, squat, and reach for extended periods to ensure thorough cleaning.

  • Adherence to safety protocols, including handling of hazardous materials and infection control measures.
