Wells Fargo Lead Business Execution Consultant in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa
About this role:
Wells Fargo's IT Service Operations (ITSO) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Business Execution Consultant in our ITSO Governance team. In this role, you will develop ways to assess immature environments, lead initiatives that are larger in scope and complexity and provide recommendations on methodologies, practices, and processes to improve the maturity of our controls and processes.
You will act as a liaison between the business area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved through process and control development. You will provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing processes and their associated controls that are cost effective and meet business requirements. You will be responsible for organizing, leading, and facilitating quality assurance review activities associated with process and development activities.
You will make an impact by leading quality assurance reviews to confirm the development of robust, repeatable, and sustainable processes to mitigate risk, guide consistent process, and control performance that assists with meeting business and regulatory requirements that supports all requisites of ITSO policies and standards. You will facilitate quality assurance reviews and validation that the development of processes and their associated controls focus on efficiencies, risks, and ongoing process/control sustainment. You will focus on the identification of risks, controls, and efforts to remediate gaps as part of the quality assurance review activities.
In this role, you will:
Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
Lead the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that may include risk mitigation, efficiency, and consumer experience
Work independently and with peer group to resolve questions, assess user needs, and confirms business processes and controls are in alignment with established policies and frameworks
Educate others about process strategy and approach for how processes and controls will be developed and maintained
Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to develop technical processes and controls to achieve greater efficiencies
Influence, guide and lead less experienced staff within the group
Lead and perform Quality Assurance activities aligned to established ITSO Framework
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of experience in one or more of the following functional areas: business process or quality assurance
MS Tool Suite proficiency
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework
Experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Framework
Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
Knowledge and understanding of configuration management solutions for information security and compliance controls
Knowledge and understanding of technology software/hardware and the asset management life cycle(s), configuration management, change and release management, service and availability management, incident and problem management, and service desk
Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels
Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
Strong relationship management skills
Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Drives accountability for assigned initiatives between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved through issue remediation activities. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and determining remediation for issues and corrective actions that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Responsible for organizing, leading, coordinating and supporting business partners through lines of defense activities. Facilitate risk assessments and governance reviews by focusing on efficiencies, risks, and controls. Focus on the identification of risks, controls, and efforts to remediate gaps as part of issue and corrective action maintenance activities. Initiates and leads efforts to develop innovative solutions to unique and/or complex business challenges. Solutions typically require coordination across the business as well as some coordination with other businesses, including multiple systems, or systems not directly controlled by the business. Works independently and with user groups to resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommends changes to business processes. Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups to ensure remediation activities achieve greater efficiencies. Influence, guide and lead less experienced staff within the group.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$96,600.00 - $171,800.00
