Job Title: Quality Inspection Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspection Specialist to perform quality inspections on metal fabricated parts. The ideal candidate will have experience in machining and steel fabrication, as well as knowledge of CMM and ISO 9001 standards. This role involves in-process and receiving inspection, maintaining calibration certifications for all gage assets, and performing calibration activities to verify the capability and performance of gauges.
Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections on metal fabricated parts.
Conduct in-process and receiving inspections.
Maintain certifications of calibration on all gage assets.
Perform calibration activities to verify the capability and performance of gauges.
Test equipment by comparison to traceable measurement standards.
Maintain communication with all departments to resolve any quality characteristics in question.
Select and use necessary instruments such as measuring machines, sine bars, comparators, gauge blocks, micrometers, surface indicators, hardness testers, and calipers.
Essential Skills
Experience in quality inspection and quality control.
Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Knowledge of CMM and ISO 9001 standards.
Ability to perform visual inspections and quality checks.
Experience with blueprint reading and final inspection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in machining and steel fabrication.
Strong communication skills to liaise with various departments.

Work Environment
The position requires working in a manufacturing environment with shifts potentially varying between 6am and 10pm. Standard shifts are 8 hours, Monday to Friday. Candidates should be open to working any hours within this range. Dress code and equipment use are in line with industry standards.
