Insight Global 1st Shift Polishing Operator in West Chicago, Illinois

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Polishing Operator to work for an end client in West Chicago, IL. This person will work on first shift, 7am-3:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break.The company is responsible for manufacturing doors and this team is responsible for new product development and sustainability projects for prototypes of these doors. This person would be responsible for insuring the integrity of the mold/die(s) by using specific hand tools, grinders, sanders, files, buffing wheels, and polishing techniques to remove marks and imperfections. He/she will be responsible for blueprint interpretation and be able to ensure a quality product. Is cost conscientious, schedule adherent, uses time efficiently, and is innovative.

Skills and Requirements

At Least a High School Diploma

At least 1 year of machine shop experience on CNC Machines or working in a tooling/molding/die division

Experience using tools: sanders, buffing wheels, files, cutters, grinders, calipers, micrometers, height indicators, etc.

Ability to be trained and work in an innovative environment

Ability to read blue prints and schematics.

Proficiency in measurement equipment to inspect work Trade School Experience
