Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in West Chester, Ohio
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the Construction/Contractor industry, based in West Chester, Ohio. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, your role will involve supporting and analyzing operations for various plants, interacting primarily with Regional Controllers and Plant Managers, and offering potential for development and advancement within the Commercial Finance group.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze historical and current financial data, identifying and investigating unusual trends and fluctuations
• Offer support for capital expenditures and ensure projects are closed out in a timely manner
• Assist with the analysis of plant metrics, conducting investigations as necessary
• Identify and investigate product margins, including cost issues, and offer support for setting labor and overhead standards annually
• Assist with month-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation and account review
• Analyze perpetual inventory variances, including unusual adjustments, and ensure established processes and controls are functioning properly
• Review aged and slow-moving inventory, initiating discussions with the plant for proper disposition
• Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts monthly and aid in the preparation of the annual budget
• Perform additional relevant duties as assigned, including ad-hoc projects
• Use skills in Business Systems, Confluence, CRM, Crystal Reports, Data Mining Techniques, About Time, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, and Capital Management to perform tasks effectively.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment (military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience).
Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
Strong proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications, including Microsoft Excel and Power Bi.
Maintains a high level of flexibility and works well in a team environment, has a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
