Job Description:
Implements, supports and maintains computer software and hardware applications for the laboratory.
Oversees clinical software applications, makes recommendations for new applications or changes to existing applications.
Monitors legal and regulatory agencies for changes that affect GRHS.
Provides timely customer service via email, telephone or in person.
Review future products.
May provide training and education for new and on-going computer processes.
Ensures test of changes before implementation.
Participates in the development of workflows, system configuration, change documentation, communication, optimization, maintenance, testing, validation, implementation, and support of staff on application functionality.
Carries out needed analyses either pro-actively or in response to user requests.
Work with software vendors, applicable departments, and IS staff to maintain systems interfaces.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
Technical or bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
Prefer experience (2 plus years) Cerner or other healthcare information system
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Proficient with Windows Operating Systems preferred
Project Management skills preferred
Report writing skills preferred
