An Access Management Security Coordinator is responsible for managing user access and security protocols within the Epic healthcare system. This role involves ensuring that appropriate permissions and access levels are assigned to users based on their roles, responsibilities, and organizational policies. The coordinator manages the creation, modification, and deactivation of user accounts while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and security best practices. Additionally, they work with the Epic Security module to troubleshoot and resolve access-related issues, monitor system access logs, and conduct regular audits to ensure user access is properly controlled. For the Providers (SER) aspect, the coordinator is also responsible for managing provider data, including ensuring accurate provider information is maintained within the Epic system, coordinating provider setup, and assisting with any related data integrity issues to support clinical and operational workflows.

This job can be performed out of any of the following campus locations: West Burlington, Fort Madison or Mt. Pleasant. Position will be onsite during implementation of EPIC, with possible hybrid options in the future.
What you will do
Provisions application security levels and roles
Establishes ownership of each particular security class
Creates user records and maps them to templates built by application coordinators/analysts
Coordinates security template and role updates and establishes a security change control process
Coordinates security‐related activity across physical ﴾buildings, grounds﴿, infrastructure ﴾network, servers, operating system﴿ and application ﴾Epic or non‐Epic﴿ teams
Works with application and compliance teams to design system‐level access
Creates appropriate shared security classifications which do not have specific application ownership
Understands the Epic software security structures, including user profiles, roles, and security classes
Creates and maintains procedures to activate, deactivate, and update user records
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Epic security certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire
PREFERRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Related Field
1-3 years Experience in operational or security relevant workflows
1-3 years Experience in healthcare IT or Epic systems

Experience in clinical, operational, or financial workflows relevant to the supported module.

Certification - Epic Certification Required where available - will train to be certified
