Responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled work in maintenance, natural resource stewardship and repair or alteration of state buildings and facilities. Work area includes Katy Trail State Park.

Work in a variety of trade areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete and masonry, painting, plastering and mechanical repair in settings such as facilities and grounds.

Routine cleaning of park buildings, restrooms, campsites and park grounds.

Operate and maintain lawn mowers, tractors, skid loader, trucks, chainsaws, leaf blowers and similar mechanical equipment.

Basic computer and customer service skills for timekeeping, assisting visitors and regular report tracking.

Assist with prescribed burns, wildfire suppression, herbicide application and other natural or cultural activities as directed with the completion of Level 1 Prescribed Fire training.

Maintain a valid vehicle operator's license to operate and maintain licensed vehicles, as well as tractors, mowers, skid steer and other grounds related equipment.

May also oversee a crew engaged in maintenance tasks.
