Position Description: RN – Charge Nurse

BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel is BayCare’s newest hospital, an 86-bed state of the art hospital that opened in March 2023. BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel is currently seeking a Registered Charge Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Medical/Surgical Telemetry team.

The RN responsibilities include:

• Proficiency in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills.

• Acting as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.

• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse.

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required

• ACLS Certification is required

• RN Professional Nurse Specialty certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education. Certification must be RN professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications grid. Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS in a healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion Experience: · 18 months of RN experience in acute care is required · 1 year of leadership experience is preferred Specific Skills:

• Clinical skills appropriate to position

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Shift: Shift 3

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No
