DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this incredibly critical position, you will provide overall direction and leadership for the hospital's Staff Development Department. As a member of the hospital's executive team, you will act as chair of the Staff Development Committee as well as supervise a team of nurse instructors and clerical staff. You will oversee the coordination of nursing education, nursing orientation and onboarding, and continued education  for the entire facility. This position will require your own continued learning and research as you will provide training on all shifts. Course development, which includes writing course objectives, course outlines, and lesson plans, are all part of training development.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40-hours per week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Work schedules may be modified or rotated with alternating days off.

Overtime and travel may be required as operationally necessary. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years as a Registered Nurse Instructor; or Three years of professional nursing experience which included one year in Nurse Instruction and a master's degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.

Special Requirements: All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
