Position Title: Technical Promoter / Consulting Applications Engineer

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Summary of Duties: Develop automation solutions, facilitating the growth of SIPROTEC and SICAM Product Brands. Work with Sales and Business Development to build a Pipeline of Projects and Systems specified with Siemens SIPROTEC and SICAM portfolio by building relationships with EPC and design consultants. Provide application expertise with solutions related to Siemens EA products, including power management, load shedding, interfacing with generation controls, communications protocols, network topologies, and IEC 61850. Drive Siemens Brand affinity in key industrial segments, such as IT and Telecommunication, O&G, WWTP, F&B, Automotive, Metals and Mining and other verticals. Foster relationships and build competency on Siemens platforms with the key Channel Partners associated with the Engineering Consultants and End Users. Collaborate with the Industrial Sales Teams and the Energy Automation Product and System Business Developers. Enable Sales to build opportunity pipeline for products and systems by enhancing the specification activity with EPC customers, Design Consultants, and associated Industrial End Users to get the product to standard. Support Sales with expert level engagement in Industrial Segment, including EPCs, End Users and Channels, to qualify leads into RFQs and order income. Be the first point of contact for EPC and Design consultants and sales in the assigned region for all application related questions. Represent Siemens in various conferences and industrial forums to create brand affinity, via White Papers, Journals, or addressing forums. Up to 50% domestic travel required throughout the East Coast of the U.S. Remote work permitted.

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Protection and Controls Engineer, or an acceptable alternate occupation.

The position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: Experience with end-to-end solutions related to Energy Automation, including Protection Relays, Automation RTUs, Power Quality, Power Management Systems, Electrical Network Monitoring and Controls Systems, and HMI Systems; Expertise with solutions including load shredding, interfacing with generation controls, communication protocols, network topologies, and IEC 61850 Standards; Experience with commissioning of Systems; Direct customer service experience. Up to 50% domestic travel required throughout the East Coast of the U.S. Remote work permitted.
