Machining principles on materials ranging from stainless steel to magnesium
Machining processes, tools, and mathematics
Safe use of shop equipment, processes, and measuring tools
Microsoft Office Basics
CNC high level machinist skills
Shifts Available:
1st shift- 7am-3:30pm.
Qualifications
Thorough Knowledge of:
o Machining principles on materials ranging from stainless steel to magnesium
o Machining processes, tools and mathematics
o Safe use of shop equipment, processes and measuring tools
o Microsoft Office Basics
Skill to:
o Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds
o Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining
o Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material, parts and equipment required
o Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
