DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Works on a collaborative team to design interior components for Axiom’s Space Station
Provides guidance on design for manufacturability and maintainability
Participates in design reviews, as required, and provide mentorship to other Design Engineers
Provides input to Project Engineering to forecast scope, schedule, and risks for all assigned projects
Supports Human Factors / User Experience evaluations
Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or related field
10+ years’ experience in mechanical design or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient in 3D CAD environment (Solidworks preferred)
Familiarity with flight hardware development and certification preferred
Essential Functions
Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
