Job Summary
Position is located in Webster, MA/Hybrid schedule. This is not a remote position and is not sponsorship eligible.
Drives the development and maintenance of property and casualty insurance products with shared responsibilities for growth and profitability. This includes complex analysis of demographics, competitors and regulatory statutes to create recommendations and proposals for product development, pricing and to write business requirements. Takes a lead role on cross-functional teams.
Project management experience and ability to take a lead role with multiple business units on cross-functional teams. Work with teams to complete the goal (whether leading or as a stakeholder) for assigned vendors or projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
Experience: 4 - 6 years - or Associates Degree equivalent plus 6 - 8 years.
Analyzes and communicates market changes, industry trends and other pertinent information that impacts the product and its operations
Experience working with insurance vendors, underwriting services that support new product introductions or product maintenance.This includes but it is not limited to reviewing contracts, evaluating vendor efficiencies, and quantifying recommendations
Works with Legal and State Teams to update policy language or create new forms to meet compliance and strategic goals
Build comprehensive business requirements that will be used by the IT Department and work with IT to ensure timely and accurate implementation of product changes
Creation of comprehensive and well-written proposals that will be reviewed by upper management. Presentation of the proposals to stakeholders.
Advanced ability to use Excel to summarize and visualize data and to use it to support recommendations
End to End process knowledge of insurance operations, understanding how all of the pieces come together
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Intermediate to advanced project management skills
Qualitative analysis and critical thinking skills
Ability to lead cross functional teams to make critical product decisions
Advanced knowledge of market and regulatory research tools, including rate and form circulars issued by rating bureaus
