What you will do:

Our Industrial Refrigeration engineering team has an immediate opening for a full-time, CAD Automation Engineer / Developer. In this role, you will assist in the development, review, testing and implementation of various product configurators and workflow enhancements.

How you will do it:

You will be working among a team of specialists who automate engineering tasks through the creation and maintenance of software and configurators. You will use commercially available CAD and engineering software along with proprietary in-house engineering configuration tools to plan and develop new tools to streamline workflows. You will prepare the engineering release of these tools for testing and feedback, incorporate any changes, and maintain the tools after release. This will require an understanding of engineering and CAD workflows along with the ability to code.

Summary of activities:

  • Applies knowledge of CAD principles and practices to automate workflows.

  • Coordinates with and supports technical team members with automation and engineering integration tools.

  • Collaborates closely with software development and other teams to understand project requirements.

  • Conducts thorough testing and debugging of CAD automation scripts and tools to identify and resolve issues promptly.

  • Optimizes processes to enhance performance, productivity, and user experience.

  • Documents CAD and engineering automation workflows, configurations, and implementation details to facilitate seamless collaboration and knowledge transfer among team members.

  • This role supports existing product lines and new product development. We will provide support and training for you to be successful in this role.

What we look for:

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Bachelors (BS) degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or 5+ years of related experience.

  • Some 3D CAD design experience (e.g., Inventor, Creo, Solidworks, Fusion 360 or similar).

  • Some experience with VBA, VB.net, C#, Python, lisp, or similar.

  • Experience with database systems such as Microsoft Access, and SQL Server.

  • Fluent with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook or similar.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and with a team.

Preferred:

  • Experience with thermodynamics and the refrigeration cycle.

  • Experience with electrical design and schematics.

  • Desire to work on an international team.

  • Programming/Automation experience (e.g., Excel VBA, VB.net, C#, Python, or similar)

  • Git, Azure and ASP.Net

Work Location

  • First 3 Months – 75%-100% On Site – Waynesboro, PA Office

  • After first 3 months – Flexible Hybrid Policy of On-Site/Remote Working as needed.
