As an FSO, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the security clearance program of our company. Your primary duties will include conducting security administration and management, leading self-inspections and government assessments, guiding employees and ensuring compliance with all government and company security regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and security-focused individual capable of handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the organization meets all requirements to obtain and maintain its facility security clearance.

  • Assists in revising the current security program

  • Acts as the POC for new and current employees and assists with ensuring with the security clearance process

  • Manages and updates the company's security clearances, applications, and tracks investigations via DISS

  • Ensures compliance with Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Energy (DOE) and other related security requirements, policies, procedures, and regulations impacting personnel security clearances, classified information and government contract administration functions.

  • Conducts security administration and management, ensuring that our company's security measures are up-to-date and in compliance with government regulations

  • Provides security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for on-site and off-site personnel.

  • Provide prime/sub-contractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of DD254’s and security guidance.

  • Operate and maintain a security education, training, and awareness program to include indoctrinations, annual refresher training, debriefings, courier, travel, and event specific briefings.

  • Operate and maintain a document control accountability system that includes the transmission, receipt, distribution, storage, and accountability of classified information.

  • Process employee adverse action reports when required.

  • Ensures document control security by safeguarding classified documents in accordance with the NISPOM and through coordination with government agencies and the FSO.

  • Assists in preparation for facility reviews and inspections.

  • Prepares and sends VARs/VALs to government both hard copy and in DISS for meeting requests and CAC/Badge requests.

  • Leading self-inspections and government assessments to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities

  • Communicating and collaborating with government counterparts and program personnel.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in security administration and management

  • Applicant must have a Top Secret clearance to be considered and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

  • Experience with DISS, NISS, and e-QIP. Experience in processing SF-86, SF-312, Security Investigations and Periodic Reinvestigations.

  • Experience working with government contracts

  • Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other government regulations for a cleared Department of Defense contractor facility

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and identify security risks

  • Ability to guide and train employees on proper security procedures and protocols

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Must be able to travel to worksites when needed
