Description We are in search of a Data Scientist to join our Manufacturing sector team based in WAYNE, Pennsylvania. This role involves the application of advanced analytics to drive business decisions, the use of Python programming for data handling, and the collaboration with team members across various departments to align data analysis efforts with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize data analytics to enhance the accuracy of business forecasting.
• Support the creation and routine updating of financial reports and dashboards.
• Employ Python programming language and associated libraries such as pandas and numpy for efficient data handling.
• Collaborate with finance, financial planning and analysis, and operations teams to ensure data analysis aligns with the overall organizational goals.
• Respond promptly to ad-hoc data requests and aid in crafting data summaries for stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analytics and financial modeling.
• Engage in training and mentorship programs to bolster technical and analytical skills.
• Assist in gathering, organizing, cleansing, and analyzing data to derive meaningful insights that inform business decisions.
• Develop notebooks on Jupyter for team projects and analyses to foster collaboration. Requirements • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist in the manufacturing industry or a related field.
• Proficiency in analytics tools and techniques to analyze large amounts of data.
• Extensive knowledge of Python programming for data manipulation and analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL for managing and manipulating structured datasets.
• Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear manner.
• Demonstrable record of using data science to make significant business improvements.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and predictive models.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
