Position Summary : The Senior Advertising Project Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of Wawa’s marketing initiatives by collaborating with key stakeholders across various teams, including category teams, creative, production, web, loyalty, customer insights, finance, and external agencies. This position ensures alignment on project goals, objectives, and outcomes while serving as a communication bridge among multiple workstreams. The Project Manager will oversee the entire creative process project lifecycle, orchestrating efforts to maximize effectiveness. Strong financial acumen is essential, as this role is responsible for managing Wawa’s annual advertising budget.

Principal Duties

  • Lead and manage the creative process end-to-end project lifecycle and internal communications for large, strategic projects across multiple agencies, from intake through execution and post-launch analysis.

  • Own and maintain all logistics for campaigns and other strategic initiatives, including campaign timelines, budget planning, briefings, production workflows, and day-to-day agency relationships.

  • Ensure all creative outputs align with campaign strategy, brand identity, and messaging.

  • Manage Wawa’s advertising budget, ensuring all expenses are tracked accurately and aligned with financial forecasts, while proactively identifying cost-saving opportunities and mitigating budget overruns.

  • Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to foster collaboration, gather input, and ensure alignment on project goals and priorities, promoting a culture of transparency and shared accountability.

  • Execute post-project evaluations to capture and share valuable lessons learned, providing strategic insights to enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) for optimized performance and experience.

  • Partner with internal creative and production teams to identify and resolve obstacles in cross-functional dynamics, driving productive outcomes.

  • Streamline Wawa’s internal and external engagement processes while evaluating project management tools to improve overall effectiveness.

  • Oversee vendor support activities, including onboarding, setup, invoicing, and ongoing communication to ensure seamless collaboration and operational success.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Digital or related fields preferred

  • Strong knowledge of creative process and project management

  • In-depth knowledge of project management processes and tools; experience with Adobe Workfront preferred.

  • Background in operational tasks within projects (agency management, contracts, reports, etc).

  • Experience managing complex budgets

  • Successful history of developing project plans from inception to completion, on time and within budget

  • Demonstrated ability to establish professional standards for team collaboration, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and communication
