District 19 Community Service Board Substance Use Disorder Clinician - Sussex in Waverly, Virginia
District 19 Community Services Board is seeking a qualified professional to assume the responsibilities of full-time SUD Therapist at the Sussex Clinic. Essential duties for this position include providing individual and group therapy services to substance use and dually diagnosed adults in both community and clinic settings. Conduct SUD screenings, assessments and write individual service plans.
Requirements:
Successful applicant must be License eligible or licensed as an LPC, LCSW, LSATP, LCP, etc.
Master's degree in human service with at least two years of working experience with substance use disorder clients. Applicant must also have at least two years of experience providing substance use group and individual counseling, knowledge of mental health /co-occurring behaviors and experience writing clinical reports and summaries to include appropriate substance use diagnosis.
Knowledge of CSB system; clinical motivation of clients; case management; etiology of substance use; related mental disorders; self-help groups; bio, psycho, and social aspects of substance use. Skills in group, oral and written communication; multicultural sensitivities; sound judgment. 2 years of direct services in the area of SUD.
Bilingual (Spanish) candidate preferred, but not required.
Position requires pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening, to include a driver's license report if applicable.
Salary: This is a GradeC9for Licensed Eligible, startingsalaryis$57,967annually, and aGrade C10for Licensed, starting salary is$62,899annually. Salary is negotiable.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, plus 1-2 nights per week until 7:00pm.
Telework: This position is eligible for some telework at the discretion of the supervisor and in accordance with the telework policy.

District 19 Community Service Board is a qualifying employer for public service loan forgiveness (PSLF). PSLF is a federal program available to full-time government and nonprofit employees who have Federal Direct Loansand have made 120 payments on the Federal Direct Loans (after Oct. 1, 2007) may be eligible for the remaining loan balance to be forgiven.
Position requires valid Driver's License in state of residence with a point balance of -6 or higher, and an extensive pre-employment background check and drug screening.
