Aerotek Field Service Technician in Waverly, Nebraska

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN -- DAY SHIFT -- OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH

 Description:

The Industrial Field Service Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating field service activities related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to build, manage, and lead a team of field service technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery to clients.

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Build, lead and manage a team of field service technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.

  • Schedule and allocate tasks to team members based on skill set and project requirements.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Service Operations:

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, & troubleshooting of customers industrial equipment.

  • Ensure all service activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards and regulations.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for field service operations.

  • Perform and supervise tasks related to alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Customer Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding field service issues and inquiries, including equipment malfunctions, service scheduling, and emergency services.

  • Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Address and resolve client complaints and service-related issues promptly, ensuring effective communication and solutions.

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide technical support and expertise to field service technicians, customers, & peers.

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

  • Conduct technical training sessions for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • Implement and manage vibration monitoring routes to detect and diagnose equipment issues proactively.

Project Management:

  • Plan and oversee field service projects from initiation to completion.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.

  • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, service reports, and inventory logs.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on field service performance and metrics.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum:

5+ years as a field service or industrial maintenance

2+ years in a leadership role.

2+ years technical knowledge of industrial equipment and systems.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in using field service management software and tools.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.

Preferred:

2 year degree in electromechanical or other related field

Certification in Project Management (PMP) or related field.

Experience in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems.

Experience with alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis.
