Haas Door Company Quality Manager in Wauseon, Ohio

SUMMARY:

This is a leadership and management position responsible for overseeing the comprehensive quality program for the company. This Quality Manager is also responsible for the direction, supervision, and professional development of quality personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Is the Quality representative in daily functions and long term projects   
  • Maintains a highly motivated team through leadership and mentoring in the accomplishment of quality objectives
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and improve the Company's quality control systems
  • Lead and/or facilitate team problem solving for customer and internal quality issues to identify true root cause, develop and execute permanent corrective actions
  • Plan, promote, organize, design and conduct training programs related to quality control 
  • Establish quality improvement objectives along with the overall plan for meeting these major objectives
  • Aid in developing work instructions/SOP's to direct and indirect production positions, to support a foundation for quality control
  • Lead the effort to ensure external quality system certifications are maintained
  • Design and implement the process for receiving, in-process and final inspections audits Develop and communicate summarized reports needed to provide quality results to management
  • Maintain a system for tracking customer communication, concerns, and corrective actions (Voice of the Customer)
  • Monitor and report supplier performance; partner with the Sourcing Department to quickly address and resolve supplier quality issues; conduct supplier evaluations
  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizing skills

Strong problem analysis and solving skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

3+ years in a leadership role, and 5+ years of relevant quality systems exp
