JOB SUMMARY, DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS: Job Summary The Associate Dean provides operational assistance to the Dean of Health Sciences and Community Services and operational leadership to the Merrill Public Safety Center of Excellence (MPSCoE), the Criminal Justice Program and other Community Services programming. The role requires collaboration with external and internal partners, supporting students and staff, and ensuring facility functionality for exceptional learning experiences. Essential Functions and Responsibilities The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully with or without reasonable accommodation. School of Public Safety Leadership: Create a culture in the School of Public Safety that meets the needs of students, business partners, and NTC Directly supervise the Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Academy, and Jail Academy program faculty Supervise the Fire/EMS Manager Hire and onboard both full-time and adjunct faculty to the School of Public Safety Promote frequent communication throughout the School of Public Safety Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports Confirm teaching assignments are completed for the School of Public Safety Work with Program Directors to ensure all program accreditation requirements are met and programs are consistently in compliance Prepare and set standards for supervised staff performance expectations. Monitor the progress of assigned employees while providing mentoring, training, and performance feedback. Build relationships with outside business partners and departments Oversee School of Public Safety budget Seek out and manages additional revenue streams including grants, donations, and contract training Merrill Public Safety Center of Excellence Leadership: Work with Facilities and IT to ensure the MPSCoE is well maintained and works properly Ensure...
