The Sr. Director Corporate Development role provides M&A valuation and execution support for acquisitions, divestitures and investments that are aligned with the Company's strategic direction. Financial management support extends throughout the M&A lifecycle, including valuation, financial and business case development, synergy and dyssynergy analysis, development and consensus building for an actionable integration plan, and overseeing and tracking value capture and performance post-close. Position closely partners with closely with numerous internal and external parties across a wide array of functional and business leadership areas.

Major Responsibiliti es:

  • Continuously improve process and tool sets to allow for Corporate Development consistency & success

  • Business Group resource to support their "pipeline activities. Act as "consultant" to improve efficiency of process and final output.

  • Work with executive team to build robust acquisition pipeline for regions that provide for long-term strategic growth. Ensure proper resource allocation, timelines and outcome expectations are followed. Develop high-level, strategic relationships with acquisition targets and other project partners.

  • Lead Mergers and acquisition pipeline, diligence and integration projects and process across the organization Provide input on improving corporate development processes and lead improvements as assigned.

  • Prepare presentations for potential Corporate Development opportunities to be presented to Business Group Leaders, CFO, CEO and Executive Committee.

  • Responsible for documentation and continuous improvement of all Corporate Development processes.

Minimum Q ualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 (10) years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, including evaluation and diligence of acquisition targets OR related experience if no degree;

  • 10 years’ experience working, in a corporate/business development, business strategy, investment banking or consulting environment

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel up to 50% of the time both domestically and internationally;

  • Adept with financial analysis and driven towards solutions;

  • Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast paced environment;

  • Demonstrated communication skills, including higher level, well organized and persuasive corporate presentations and group facilitation abilities;

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects with an eye on strong time management;

  • Capable of deep strategic thinking with very strong quantitative and qualitative analytic abilities and creative problem solving skills;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of merger and acquisition analysis, practices, techniques and current trends including an ability to identify and evaluate the impacts of strategic decision making

  • Ability and experience with teaching merger and acquisition practices to junior team members.

Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
