Job Title: Firmware EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer with expertise in bare metal, C programming. This role involves troubleshooting your own code and utilizing an oscilloscope. You will work on firmware for electronics in a lab environment, around forklifts, developing and debugging C code. This position requires experience in reading data sheets and editing links or files. While some experience with DevOps, board bring-up, or Visual Studio Code is beneficial, it is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot firmware code in C.

• Identify and resolve root cause issues in code.

• Utilize an oscilloscope for debugging.

• Read and interpret data sheets.

• Edit links or files as necessary.

• Collaborate with a small team to achieve project goals.

• Work primarily onsite for the first 2-3 months, with potential for remote work 1-2 days per week thereafter, depending on project requirements.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of recent experience with bare metal, C programming.

• Experience troubleshooting own code and using an oscilloscope.

• Proficiency in identifying root cause issues with C code.

• Ability to read data sheets and edit links or files.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with RTOS, including the ability to describe specific work done with an RTOS and which one.

• Familiarity with Free RTOS or Green Hills.

• Experience with DevOps, board bring-up, or Visual Studio Code is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment involves being in a lab, around forklifts, working with firmware for electronics. You will be part of a small team. The initial phase requires mostly onsite work for 2-3 months, followed by the possibility of remote work 1-2 days per week depending on project needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00
