Job Title: Facilities Technician
Job Description
Responsible for the general maintenance of equipment, building, and grounds. Ensuring that the facilities and equipment are clean, well-functioning, and orderly. Fulfill any service request in a timely manner. Provide insight into projects as the subject matter expert and operate as the Lead Project Manager when assigned. Perform a variety of hands-on repair and maintenance work in the following areas: buildings, grounds, equipment, and environmental safety. Use discretion and professionalism working in and around donors, visitors, and employees to complete work in a timely manner and minimize disruptions to operations. Thoroughly clean up after the completion of work. Perform maintenance and repair of building equipment and grounds in a safe manner. Develop and maintain accurate and complete maintenance logs, calendars, schedules, and any other administrative tools utilized by the department. Actively participate in improving building and equipment efficiencies by continuously refining practices and procedures.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills
2+ years of facilities maintenance experience
1+ year HVAC experience
1+ year of basic facilities electrical and plumbing experience
Experience in the healthcare industry or commercial maintenance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Facilities Maintenance preferred
HVAC or other Facilities Maintenance certifications preferred
Commercial and/or Healthcare facility experience preferred
Experience with Air Handlers and Boilers preferred

Work Environment
Large building in Milwaukee. The company has other locations throughout Wisconsin and several other states, but this position will primarily be in Milwaukee. Clean, well-organized facility. 1st shift - 7 am-3:30 pm. Required to be on call 1 out of 5 weekends. Dress code includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, plain t-shirt or long-sleeve shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
