The opportunity

  • Senior Manager – Cybersecurity will serve as the cybersecurity divisional leader for Abbott’s Corporate Functions.

  • This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to manage cybersecurity risks across Abbott’s Corporate Functions.

  • This role will collaborate with senior leadership to quantify cybersecurity risks that may impact achievement of business objectives and formulate strategies to facilitate appropriate risk treatment strategies.

What You’ll Work On

  • Partner with enterprise cybersecurity leaders to increase maturity of enterprise cybersecurity services and capabilities.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to maintain ongoing understanding of strategic objectives across corporate and cybersecurity functions.

  • Lead cybersecurity projects to ensure the timely, on budget, and effective implementation of cyber security improvements that are operationally supported with validation methods in place to measure effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with divisional cybersecurity leaders on identifying cybersecurity risks impacting multiple divisions across Abbott and work with appropriate stakeholders to formulate mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate with cyber security to perform cybersecurity risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and potential impact on corporate functions in accordance with established processes.

  • Support implementation of strategic enterprise cybersecurity programs for Abbott Corporate functions.

  • Support assessments of cyber security incidents to identify the root cause, respond, and assist with recovering activities.

  • Develop and execute strategies which develop individual team member skills and abilities.

  • Manage capital and operational expense budgets to ensure accurate forecasting and administration.

Required Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, Risk, or IT Management, Computer Science, or related field an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience.

  • Possess CISSP certification (or similar) and be knowledgeable of national and international regulatory compliances and frameworks such as ISO, SOX, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.

  • Strong experience managing cybersecurity capability in a supervisory role operating in a cross-functional matrixed global organization.

  • Requires strong analytical skills, business intelligence, effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational intelligence, relationship management, the ability to make meaningful decisions based on sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of roles from Executive Management to Security Analysts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree is preferred.

The base pay for this position is $125,300.00 – $250,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
