The Opportunity

This position works out of our Lake County, Willis Tower,Chicago IL or Austin, TX location in BTS (IT) Commercial Delivery Solutions Team for Medical Devices. The Commercial Delivery Solutions Team focuses on delivering solutions to enable our field teams to be more productive. These solutions enable our field to build better relationships with HCPs and Patients to enable more Abbott products to improve people’s lives.

As a Senior Business Analyst you will play a key role in bridging the business objectives and technical solutions that deliver them. Your focus will be on understanding the needs of various business units within Medical Device, analyzing their requirements, and translating them into effective and efficient technology (Salesforce) solutions.

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the Salesforce architects and developers, collaborating closely with both teams to gather and document requirements, analyze business processes, and recommend improvements. You will be responsible for conducting gap analyses, identifying areas for improvement, and designing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

What You’ll Work On

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document the business process and associated system requirements.

  • Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.

  • Conduct gap analyses to determine the difference between current and desired state, and develop strategies to bridge the gap.

  • Utilize functional requirements and system design documents to guide developers in implementing solutions.

  • Coordinate and participate in testing and facilitate the resolution of any identified issues.

  • Partner with Quality Assurance and our IT delivery partners to complete SLC documentation to ensure a high quality solution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 3-5 Years of experience as a business analyst or similar role in an IT function.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong documentation and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a healthcare or similarly regulated industry.

  • Strong understanding of business operations and processes within the commercial function.

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Abbott System Lifecycle is a plus.

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
