The Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU) has two (2) full time openings for a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) position working with students enrolled in CSIU programs throughout the CSIU five-county region.  This position has an anticipated start date of August 6, 2025.

The Board Certified Behavioral Analyst's primary responsibility is to enhance student progress and achievement by providing behavioral coaching and support to schools, families and communities.

Salary:  $53,870 to 85,087 dependent on education, credentials and experience.  This is an exempt position following a 188 day school year schedule.  Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance; retirement options including Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) and life insurance options.

Education and experience requirements include:

  • A Master's degree in school psychology, special education, applied behavioral analysis or related field is required.
  • A valid Board-Certified Behavioral Analysis (BCBA) certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is required and subject to bi-annual renewal requirements to remain active BCBA certification.
  • Additionally, five (5) years of successful work experience in an educational environment, in the field of autism, with students with mental health or emotional issues, in special education environments, in consultative models as a community liaison having experience in diverse educational settings, or in a wide variety of service delivery models is required.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • mputer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry, email and experience managing file sharing with Google Drive.
  • Adept at using virtual meeting platforms such as Skype, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize the task based on project deadlines.And must be able to type accurately and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Skilled in maintaining accurate records and preparing clear and concise reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively with colleagues, co-workers, community agency personnel, and students/trainees.
  • Requires the ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships using tact and diplomacy and to remain calm in unpredictable situations. 
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding education programs, students and parents at all times adhering to the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requirements to protect staff and student data.
