This is a Direct Hire Authority DHA solicitation utilizing the DHA for this is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This position is being advertised through the Direct Hire Authority for domestic defense Industrial Base Facilities and is open to all U.S Citizens to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in competitive service. Responsibilities Plan distribution and sequence of work on a day-to-day basis for subordinates. Determine number and types of workers needed to accomplish projects. Oversee inventory accountability including inventory counts and adjustments, and signed hand receipts. Manage inventory levels and location systems for all tool cribs. Determine the training needs for employees in logistics/inventory automated systems and supply principles. Implement corrective actions, processes, and procedures to resolve work problems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a Tools and Parts Attendant Supervisor without more than normal supervision which includes: (1) Assigning work to subordinates establishing deadlines and priorities; (2) Ensuring that tools and consumable materials are on hand to support production requirements; and (3) Using automated software to track inventory. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
