About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and -operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813. Responsibilities Plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. Establish deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules and methods and policies established by higher levels of supervision. Explain work requirements, methods and procedures; Instruct subordinates in new procedures. Investigates work related problems (e.g., low productivity) to identify causes; implements those corrective actions that can be taken within the limits of incumbents authority. Develops performance standards, counsels employees on performance, and makes formal and informal performance appraisals.
