Performs a variety of in-process examinations on precision critical dimensions to determine applicable method of completion. Have the ability to read and interpret written technical data package, military/federal standards, specifications, work/job orders and the ability to determine inspection requirements, in process inspection points for critical interfaced dimension. Use advanced shop mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry to compute interrelated dimensions on complex systems and assemblies. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision Screen Out Ability To Use Hand Tools for Machine Shop Ability To Use Shop Drawings Knowledge of Metals Measurement and Layout Operation of Machine Tools Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work requires standing, stooping, bending, stretching and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Required to lift/carry items weighing up to 44 lbs. Mechanical lifting devices/other employees are available to assist with lift of 45 lbs and over. Requires good vision to work to close tolerances. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is generally done inside in areas that are air conditioned, well lighted, heated, and ventilated or in machine shop areas.
