Job Description

An employer is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join their team 1 day a week in Brighton, MA. This Principal will be responsible for design of the platform architecture as well as some hands-on java full-stack development work and oversight of full-lifecycle projects on the platform. The team is modernizing the system to help improve usability, performance, and flexibility. The Principal will work closely with an agile team consisting of one Scrum Master, one Product Owner, one UX Designer, and a few engineers.

Compensation for this role is 170-195k per year annually. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

-7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience within Java

-Strong experience designing and architecting software solutions

-Strong experience with modern UI frameworks

-Hands-on experience developing APIs

-3+ years of lead experience

-Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-collaboratively -Experience with Perl null
