Shift: Days, 8 hours, 40 hours/week. Rotational holidays, occasional weekends, no on-call.

• POSITION SUMMARY:

• Under the direction of the Administrator-Long Term Care or VP LTC, and in accordance with established policies and procedures and federal guidelines, provides supervision to employees /volunteers assigned to the Activities/SPEC NEEDS – NEURO BEHAV departments develops and implements group and individual activity programs.

• QUALIFICATIONS:

• EDUCATION:

• Minimum :

• Associates Degree in related field

• Preferred :

• Theraputic Recreation Specialist

• LICENSE:

• Preferred :

• Recreational Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Occupational Therapy Assistant.

• PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

• WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum :

• Minimum of two (2) years full time paid experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a therapeutic activities program

• SKILLS:

• Minimum :

• Requires a sensitive and reassuring approach to residents/patients.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities.

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.

• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.

• Computer literacy required with word processing, spreadsheets, power point

• Preferred :

• Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point.

Salary Range: $53,891.17-$58,423.25
