*IN THIS ROLE: *

We are seeking an enthusiastic team member to collaborate with staff and students to enhance and expand the use of technology in education! 

You'll work closely with all stakeholders to create and provide innovative resources and engaging learning opportunities. *WHAT WE NEED: *

  • Designs and delivers educational technology training, professional development, and in-service opportunities for preK-12 teachers, administrators, and support staff in assigned districts and in Oakland Schools.

``` - Collaborates with teachers to integrate technology into the curriculum and provides support for differentiated instruction, including the use of assistive technologies. - Mentors and coaches teachers in incorporating current, relevant technologies into their classrooms, utilizing frameworks like TPACK, SAMR, and Triple E to create meaningful lessons. - Works closely with curriculum teams in local districts to develop and deliver professional development, instructional planning, and feedback, including co-teaching and modeling effective tech integration strategies. - Demonstrates leadership by modeling technology-infused instruction and coordinates technology conferences and professional development sessions for school districts.  - Provides training on instructional technology solutions for staff and district.  - Leads initiative like Project-Based Learning (PBL), STEM/STEAM/STREAM, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Blended learning, 1:1 programs, assistive technology, and formative assessments.  - Maintains up-to-date knowledge of research, best practices, and legal mandates related to education and technology integration. - Plans and organizes after-school programs like Coding Clubs and Summer Camps for students, and represents Oakland Schools at local, regional and state meetings. - Applies for grants to support technology growth and collaborates with Oakland Schools EdTech Fellows. - Delivers webinars, newsletters, and other training materials while supporting colleagues beyond assigned districts. - Performs additional duties as needed.

*WHAT YOU NEED: *

Bachelor's degree in Education, and a minimum of 4 - 6 years related experience; or other equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
