Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Back End Software Engineer with critical thinking and effective communication skills to join our system development team responsible for mission-critical, training and real-time military software applications that will be deployed in commercial and/or private cloud environments.

The position will require the potential partner to work on-site in Waterford, CT and may require some travel in support of the project.

• Work on interesting and challenging software projects (such as our Standard Space Trainer and wXstation systems).

• Use analytical and problem-solving skills to develop cloud based simulation platforms using modern programming languages and technologies.

• Implement cutting edge technologies such as voice recognition, artificial intelligence, data mining, and virtualization/cloud technology.

• Participate in all areas of the software development lifecycle from planning through test and sustainment.

  Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical degree

• 2+ years of recent cloud back end software application development, integration and/or deployment experience

• Experience developing micro-services, using REST, gRPC and other protocols.

• Experience with at least one modern object oriented programming language (e.g., C++ and/or Java)

• Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*

  Desired, but not required, qualifications:

• Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*

• Experience in and/or knowledge of:

• C# and .NET microservice development

• Secure Coding

• COTS technologies and trends, such as virtualization or PaaS

• Object Oriented Design and UML Tools; Model-Based Systems Engineering

• Multiple development languages

• Multiple Operating Systems (e.g. Windows, Linux)

• Commercial Cloud technologies, such as Azure or Amazon Web Services

• Information Assurance

• Security+ or similar certifications
