Position Overview:

The Rack or Cherry Picker Operator is responsible for operating a cherry picker to pick and organize inventory within the warehouse. This position ensures that products are accurately picked, stored, and transported to meet customer orders and stock requirements. The cherry picker operator plays a critical role in maintaining efficiency, safety, and accuracy in the warehouse environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Safety operate the cherry picker to retrieve and/or put away products from high shelving units within the warehouse so they can be prepared for shipment or delivery (up to 40 ft).

• Ensure products are picked and placed in the correct locations to maintain inventory organization and accuracy.

• Retrieve and stage products based on order specifications.

• Ensure the correct quantity and type of product are picked for each customer order.

• Assist in loading products onto delivery trucks after all orders have been picked and packed.

• Help with inventory checks and cycle counts when needed to maintain accurate stock levels.

• Properly handle, store, and arrange products to minimize damage and optimize space in the warehouse.

• Report any damaged or expired products to warehouse supervisors or managers.

• Follow all safety procedures and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment and help to maintain a safe, clean work environment to include general housekeeping warehouse duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• At least 1 year previous warehouse experience.

• At least 1 year of experience using a cherry picker or elevated picking machines.

• Ability to work while standing, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, kneeling and lifting for the entire duration of the shift.

• Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. throughout the entire shift from floor to over-head.

• Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures.
