Naval Facilities Engineering Command SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Public Works Department (PWD) Washington, located at the Washington Navy Yard. Responsibilities You will advise customers concerning issues related to financial management systems. You will analyze accounting functions to identify regulatory and accounting changes, resource control functions, or operating level problems. You will compile information from multiple sources to create financial management or budget reports. You will advise others on financial transactions to ensure efficient use of funds. You will advise employees on financial, accounting, or budgeting program goals and objectives. You will brief a wide range of audiences (e.g., financial team, managers, customers) regarding financial information, concepts and ideas. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:(1) Implementing internal controls and guidance on effective and efficient methods for the budgeting and execution of funds to support the organization's programs;(2) Examining, verifying, validating, and reconciling fiscal accounts using Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System (SABRS), Command Financial Management System (CFMS), or another similar financial system;(3) Developing/using spreadsheets, pivot tables, and data analytic skills to analyze and present financial information/data;(4) Presenting briefings, metrics, and providing financial advice and recommendations to customers and senior managers;(5) Providing query management and comprehensive excel reports to manager and supervisors in support of funds execution from systems used to perform daily tasking and(6) Leading others in researching, analyzing, and applying accounting, budgeting, and financial policies, regulations and guidelines.
