Responsibilities You will serve as the Common Weapons Launcher (CWL) Assistant Program Manager in the Submarine Combat and Weapon Control Program Office (PMS 425) at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) located at the Washington Navy Yard. You will be responsible for the development and production of the CWL which is part of AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat system for all variants of US submarines and the RAN Collins Class submarine. You will manage and lead a combined industry and government team in the development of the CWL and for the production, integration and testing of those subsystems. You will be responsible for coordinating with the other Participating Acquisition Resource Mangers (PARMs) in the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) program to ensure all software deliveries and testing are synchronized. You will perform key decision-making and policy-developing responsibilities in support of program leadership. You will plan, develop, evaluate, and execute short- and long-range technical programs. You will set priorities, prepare schedules for work completion, and ensure the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts. You will serve as a recognized expert consultant and authority to ensure reliability and accuracy in the identification, development and implementation of recommended solutions to highly complex problems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-3 broadband level (GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing program management guidance in the design, development, modernization, or sustainment of combat or weapon systems for surface ships or submarines to ensure compliance with established specifications or requirements. Education Additional Information This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. The salary range shown in the announcement represents all of the positions within the NH-4 broadband level, however the salary range for this position is capped at GS-15, step 5, currently $189,950. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched.
