Summary You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION DIVISION; NUCLEAR PROPULSION DIRECTORATE of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will perform a variety of analytical tasks, including financial and statistical analysis, and will obtain proficiency in Information Technology (IT) systems and databases used by the Division. You will plan and conduct comprehensive studies and reviews involving major management functions (e.g., procurement, supply, manpower). You will develop organizational structures, work processes, manpower controls, and paperwork and data management systems. You will apply analytical ability and evaluative techniques to management problems and recommend ways to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency. You will attend meetings with managers and supervisors to help formulate and present management improvement plans and strategies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the BR-01 pay band (or GS-07 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting with analytical studies, reviews, or assessments to identify inefficiencies in organizational processes, procedures, or methods and recommend solutions for improvement. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: FOR BN-02 (OR GS-09 GRADE LEVEL): Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree; -OR- Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree; -OR- Obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled; -OR- Combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
