Strategic Systems Programs Office LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Technical Division, Logistics Support Branch of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS. Responsibilities You will be responsible for insuring that Strategic Submarine Stockpoint policies, procedures and products properly address SSP Strategic Weapon System (SWS) and TRIDENT platform unique material support requirements. You will develop and draft AWS/SWS/HOE material support policies, especially in the areas of US SSBN and SSGN Physical Distribution, NW COSAL material support, IT support (ex. SLDB, MTS and Navy ERP), and logistics technical data. You will insure that stockpoint and warehouse management requirements are integrated with SSP AWS, SWS and TRIDENT Platform unique inventory management requirements. You will be responsible for Technical oversight and assessment of SSP Stock point Operations at TRIDENT Refit Facility Kings Bay and Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (Bangor) including TRIDENT Platform Stock point Operations. You will develop and use metrics and performance measures both in Navy ERP and other external programs to assess workload and performance on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis, as required. You will be responsible developing funding and manpower resource requirements and for Program Management and Execution of SSP funded supporting government activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band (NH-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating and evaluating logistics support for weapon systems and warfare equipment to develop and execute plans including budget and resource for logistics management operation or programs.
