Naval Sea Systems Command FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Program Executive Office Unmanned and Small Combatants, Mine Warfare Program Office (PMS 495) of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS. You will assist with research, development, integration, test, procurement and sustainment efforts across a portfolio of programs including 4 ACAT II, 2 ACAT IV and numerous non-ACAT programs. Responsibilities You will review execution documents and reports using available financial management systems. You will complete financial reviews to ensure funds are efficiently and effectively controlled. You will conduct studies, gather and analyze financial data, to improve the accumulation, processing, and reporting of information on financial matters. You will prepare data for presentations and reports on financial objectives. You will process funding execution documents. You will analyze and develop budget exhibits and budget justifications. You will review, monitor, and report on the financial status of programs to execute funds in accordance with planning documents and regulatory guides/policies. You will provide input to Government Accountability Office (GAO) audits/Congressional inquiries/Financial Management and Budget (FMB) questions/Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) inquiries. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing financial and budgetary data to make recommendations on the allocation of funds to management in support of Acquisition Programs. Education Additional Information This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-13. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
