Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Naval Architecture and Engineering Division of CARDEROCK DIV NS supporting the Large Surface Combatant Modernization & Sustainment Program Office (PMS421) as a Ship Manager. This position is seated at the Washington Navy Yard. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Responsibilities You will provide oversight and interface with all Participating Acquisition Program Managers (PARMS), homeport activities and field activities. You will provide oversight of ship development document (SCD) scheduling. You will provide oversight of availabilities and SCD installations. You will review inputs from and interface with waterfront activities. You will oversight of ship change document maturation. You will track and develop availability execution deliverables. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing program management and analysis of projects to ensure the execution of maintenance or modernization efforts for the improvement of surface ship availability. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This NT-05 position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 grade levels. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354). Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
