Amentum User Support Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia

Amentum is seeking a User Support Specialist to will provide IT technical support to PARDON to ensure that the legal functions of the office, including those performed by the above, can operate continuously and with minimal disruption. The Help Desk Supervisor/Senior User Trainer candidate should have knowledge of IT and provide on-site technical resource/support; and day‐to‐day management of the systems.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint; familiarity using Drupal, TEAMS or TEAMS Apps, and SharePoint desired.

  • Experience using payroll systems, and financial management systems a plus

  • The contractor shall provide liaison services between Pardon staff and Department-IT personnel.

  • The contractor shall troubleshoot IT problems encountered by Pardon staff, including helping to troubleshoot problems with the Office’s current case management system.

  • The contractor shall create, modify and run daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, as needed.

  • The contractor shall assist in testing case management functionality following upgrades or fixes.

  • The contractor shall make updates to website based on specific data points at regular intervals, as needed.

  • The contractor, as needed, shall attend relevant trainings and meetings within the Department to help stay abreast of key IT initiatives that will impact Pardon’s processing and workflows.

  • The contractor shall assist in other IT-related duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

  • Experience providing direct end-user support for the applications being supported, including both telephone support and on-site assistance to users.

  • Certain applications may require certification by the software provider.

  • Prior teaching/training experience involving computer applications, preferably database, imaging, or other automated litigation support applications strongly preferred.

  • Must have hands-on familiarity with the network, telecommunications, and operating systems environment of the applications being supported.

  • Prior experience in automated litigation support preferred.

  • Experience with DOJ office automation environments extremely helpful; should be an expert user of the Government's word processing, spreadsheet, and email systems.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required.

  • Pleasant telephone manner important. Undergraduate degree valued.
