What we are looking for:

Aldridge is seeking anAssistant Project Manager to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role will work collaboratively with the project team to ensure that a quality project is produced safely, on time, and within budget.

Project Location: DC Area / Virginia Beach

What you’ll do:

Essential project duties including:

  • Assist in tracking project costs and performance.

  • Monitor project planning, execution and closure.

  • Support all project functions as they relate to quality control, safety and project team management.

  • Act as a liaison throughout various staffing levels

  • Assist in coordinating the project team – field supervision, Division resources, and Support Department staff – as directed by the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.

  • Promote safe job sites and work closely with the Safety Department to ensure that all safety issues are properly addressed.

  • Support Senior Project Management on essential project duties including cost and labor tracking, material submittals, subcontractor management, contract compliance, and schedule adherence.

  • Assist with all project phases from start-up to close-out.

  • Understand and be responsible for compliance with Aldridge safety policies and support a “Safety First” attitude.

  • Assign and communicate expectations for all aspects of the safety program, so that all project employees have clear expectations for safety and performance.

  • Conduct regular safety tours on the project and ensure employee involvement and craft engagement in the safety program.

  • Ensure training is proactively identified and scheduled. Select toolbox talk topics which are applicable to the work.

  • Verify that all safety documentation is being captured, organized, and filed at the jobsite.

    Who you are:

    We are pursuing entry level candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Management or other construction-related major. Equivalent construction or Union trade background is also considered.

  • Internships or other relevant work experience preferred.

  • Ap titude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities and creatively problem solve to formulate viable solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Adaptability and flexibility.
