UnitedHealth Group Stakeholder Management Lead - Remote in Washington, District Of Columbia

You will support the projects and initiatives put forth by the program and specifically the Program Management. You will work to develop communication plans and drive stakeholder engagement forward. You'll roll up your sleeves as you work with the program and operations teams to bring projects to completion within time, scope and budget. In this role, your project management expertise will help you build relationships across the organization.

Your leadership and analytical skills will be utilized daily. With the team, you will take on tough challenges and facilitate the implementation of innovative solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of stakeholder management plans, ensuring alignment with the program’s strategic objectives and all contractual requirements. Ensure all impacted areas are identified and appropriate resources are engaged to participate

  • With the team, develop and maintain all critical project artifacts, including requirements, project charter, timeline, dependencies, risks, success criteria, and any financial artifacts needed. Obtain all required approvals throughout the creation and maintenance of the artifacts

  • Develop, document and implement project communication plans in order to manage communications among and across all stakeholders. Establish, develop and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders and effectively resolve any issues as they arise

  • Monitor and report progress throughout the project life cycle

  • Perform all project closeout activities and as applicable, ensure transition plan to steady state is implemented and effective

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of demonstrated Project Management experience

  • Experience facilitating and negotiating consensus around project and/or product goals

  • Experience identifying and helping solve problems that impact the management and direction of the business

  • Proven understanding of the 5 stages of project management: Initiation, Planning Execution, Monitor and Control, Closeout. Ability to articulate this understanding with relevant work experience

  • Proven Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Microsoft Project or equivalent project software

  • Demonstrated ability to balance projects of varying complexity simultaneously

  • Proven solid verbal and written communication skills, including solid presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated track record of success in supporting delivery of large scale, complex federal programs

  • Experience within the VA or DoD community

  • Demonstrated facilitation and project management experience for complex technical projects or programs such as experience with large scale technology implementation projects including custom software development and/or third-party software integrations

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
